Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum Remote Working, Generous Holiday

My client is a Lighting Design consultancy with a difference. Backed by a national wholesaler, they are a high-end and bespoke solutions provider for both the commercial and residential sectors. They have completed projects for a range of customers including City Point in London, Battersea Power Station, Royal Russell Private School and Emirates Stadium as well as a wide range of bespoke residential projects for the rich and famous.

In order to facilitate their plans for growth they are now looking for a mid-level Lighting Designer to join their existing team. The company are brand agnostic in their approach and can offer any solution to suit any budget. Your role as a designer, therefore, would offer a complete blank canvas, allowing for creativity without limitations.

You will be working across both commercial and domestic projects, anything from large scale warehousing to high-end residential, and have the freedom and flexibility to put your creative stamp on the design process. You will ideally be LIA qualified and possess good knowledge of the Relux design software. The company are based near Poole in Dorset, but this role will be remote (working from home) with occasional commuting to their modern, clean office for catch-ups and team meetings. All travel and commuting costs with be covered by the company. You will need to be a consummate professional and have good communication skills as everyone in the team is included in company decisions and strategy.

Requirements

* You will design lighting schemes for projects of varying sizes for commercial & residential applications

* Designing and helping to coordinate lighting projects from start to finish.

* Liaising with the customers, contractor, consultant to present and discuss ideas, mock-ups, concepts, and alternative solutions where necessary.

* Provide a lighting design solution to customer brief, budget, and relevant standard.

* Prepare presentations to clients.

* Attend client and design team meetings.

* Preparing detailed drawings, schedule, and plans.

* A demonstrated ability to work under pressure.

* Strong demonstration of design communication.

* Provide design guidance and to solve technical lighting questions under supervision.

Skills, Knowledge & Software Requirements:

* Relux /Dialux Evo

* Proficient use of MS Office

* Ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines

* Good design and technical skills as well as being highly organised

* Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently as well as within a team

* Dependable, with a proven track record of delivery

* Ability to show initiative and examples of creative problem solving.

* A high expectation of performance for themselves and other members of the team.
