Central LocationFor this opportunity, you'll find yourself emerged fully into the fun & creative side of product development. Working incredibly closely to design, garment tech and your suppliers, along with your Buyer you will be responsible for ensuring commercial and profitable ranges are brought into the business.
This brand have been doing incredibly well, so looking after your best sellers and driving new and exciting product will be at the forefront of your role!
AS THE ASSISTANT BUYER:
You'll work directly under a Buyer, meaning the role offers amazing exposure to senior management & directors. Getting involved with sign offs, range builds, photoshoots are well within your reach here.
Participate in Monday Trade with reviewing trade sheets
Over time, able to contribute to trade with key actions and best seller outtakes
Own all sample management
Trusted to maintain and manage the critical path
Liase internally with garment techs, merchandising and design over the critical path
Clearly communicate with suppliers for any delivery or ex-factory concerns or changes
Work closely to the merchandising function to know how the brands partners (wholesalers) are trading
Gather all initial costs and fairly negotiate
Understanding of open costings is desired, but not essential
Good understanding of margin through all costing exercises to be able to support your Buyer
Support the Buyer and Designer with sample briefs and tech packs
Be on top of all sample trackers
Own all administrative tasks for the area
Actively research the market for latest trends, influencers and social media movements in fashion
Monitor the market for any new promotions, collaborations or launches
