Salary : £90 – £110/day

The Education Specialists are looking for an experienced Design & Technology Technician to join one of our Liverpool schools.

As a Design & Technology Technician you will play a key role supporting the safe delivery of classes and the preperation of them.

Duties include, but not limited to –

• Regular maintenance and sharpening of cutting tools and all machinery.

• Can operate and maintain 3D printing machines.

• Regular inspection and minor servicing of woodworking and engineering machines.

• Overseeing the annual service contracts for equipment and machinery, including arranging the external contractors to carry out COSHH testing of LEVs.

• Ensuring all equipment conforms to the Health & Safety requirements.

• Maintain stock rooms, workshops, saw rooms, etc. in a safe and tidy condition and replenish basic supplies as necessary.

Prepare material for teaching groups, including the manufacture of small items (e.g.: teaching aids, storage units, etc.)

• Make and repair small items of equipment for use by the departments. • Prepare work for laser cutter.

• Assist with and monitor the ordering of stock for all subjects within the faculty and receive and distribute upon delivery. • Assist with design and construction of workshop teaching aides

• Carry out basic electrical and mechanical repairs across the subjects within the faculty.

. Upkeep of CAD/CAM monitors and machines

• Quick learner
• Abilitiy to work alone but also as part of a fast paced team

A full enhanced DBS is required for this role, which can be done through ourselves.
