Job Overview:

The Graphic Designer will play a vital role in developing innovative and visually engaging designs that enhance brand communication across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales, Ecommerce, Design, and Senior Management teams to produce designs that align with the company’s brand identity. The role demands a strong conceptual thinker with creative flair, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate within a team environment to produce high-impact designs for various brand communication materials, including packaging, promotional literature, POS, event collateral, signage, branding, and digital advertising campaigns.
Develop and refine design briefs, ensuring creative solutions meet cost and time constraints.
Create original concepts for 2D, 3D, and digital media, maintaining a high standard of creativity and attention to detail from concept to final product.
Produce engaging marketing copy, source and direct photography, and ensure cohesive messaging across all media platforms.
Liaise with teams including Innovation, Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Digital Marketing to ensure effective messaging and user experiences.
Stay updated on design trends, undertaking research to ensure best practices are applied in all design solutions.
Utilize expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce high-quality visual content.
Provide additional design support, including image sourcing, scamping, layout design, and presentations.
Act as the main point of contact for external designers and printers, ensuring deadlines are met and materials are produced to the highest quality.
Manage expenditure under the guidance of the Design Director, adhering to budgets and maintaining accurate financial records.
Skills and Experience:

Essential:

Degree in graphic design, illustration, visual communication, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a creative agency or in-house manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in a graphic design role within a complex organisation, with experience managing brand communications across various mediums (print, packaging, digital).
Experience in creating effective digital advertisements, including campaigns for Google and Facebook.
Strong technical design skills, with proficiency in layout principles and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting ideas to stakeholders at various levels.
Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience in developing systems to ensure consistent and professional design output.
Desirable:

Knowledge of motion graphics software, such as After Effects.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
