An exciting opportunity to work in a fresh and vibrant company based inside the world-famous Pinewood Studios. Uni-versal Extras are a highly successful Extras casting agency. We have supplied extras, walk-ons, background and supporting artistes for TV, Film and Commercials for over 15 years.
Working hours: (Apply online only) Mon- Fri (with 1 hour for lunch)

About the Role
To support our current exceptionally high rates of growth and new platform launches, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to work across the business. This role will be responsible for assisting in the cost-effective acquisition and retention of both Extras and Production clients – creating and co-ordinating content on an almost hourly basis. Additionally, this role will work alongside the Marketing Officer to deliver marketing campaigns across mobile applications, web, email, SMS and PR.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide regular notifications and updates to our database of Supporting Artistes (‘extras’) of work opportunities
Acquire and retain Supporting Artists through innovative and cost-effective internal and external marketing
Ensure application of all marketing and communication guidelines and key message priorities across specific communications channels (email, events, websites, social media, PR, etc.) are followed
Lead the creation of Content for online and offline channels – including emails, social media, websites, mobile applications, newsletters, blogs, press releases and case studies
Establish marketing goals and budgets based on past performance and market forecasts
Oversee current offerings and develop initiatives for new products and/or services.
Review and report against relevant KPI’s, providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders
Assist in the planning and delivery of structured and high profile regional and corporate marketing, PR and communications campaigns
Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships with colleagues and our third-party suppliers and stakeholder to support the company’s mission and business objectives
Produce weekly and monthly summaries for the Management team and Board
The Ideal Candidate:
Ideally you are an experienced Marketing Manager in a fast moving, technology-led business, perhaps recruitment or managed services – having helped them grow their business
You are able to take a brief at speed and be able to ‘hit the ground running’ with ideas and solutions to problems and development
Be highly digitally savvy – able to use multiple online/cloud bases services with existing experience – or little/no training
Excellent writing, creative and planning skills to drive communication and messaging innovation and creation
Effective communication skills; both face-to-face and written and are able to work effectively and productively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, ensuring forward planning so deadlines are met, and quality output is maintained, with minimal resources
High standard of accuracy and detail; presents reports and documents that are highly professional
You have the drive and ability to take the role and the company beyond its current operational model
Desired Skills & Experience Requirements:
Marketing degree desired but not essential, at least 1-3 years' of professional experience in a similar role essential
Advanced experience with various social media and digital advertising channels (Instagram, Facebook, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, etc..
Experience of managing marketing campaigns – either end-to-end or significant portions therein
Content & copy writing skills – imaginative but focused and delivered to deadlines
Extensive experience with digital operational platforms – WordPress, Wix, Square Space, Zoho, Drupal, etc..
Self-motivated with good time-management skills, including experience of working to short deadlines
Confident when dealing with the general public, work colleagues and clients
Excellent communications skills – written, numerical & verbal
Ability to stay calm and focussed when dealing with high pressure, demanding situations
Highly computer literate (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Workspace) – able to format and present documents professionally and quickly
Ability to accurately ‘touch type’ at a minimum of 30 Words/Minute
