WT Design are architectural design and master planning specialists based in Ludham, Norfolk. We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technician with at least a few years’ experience to join our talented team!

The Role – Architectural Technologist:

With project values ranging from 100k to 10million, this role requires experience working on residential projects ranging from a single dwelling to 300+ units from planning to technical. Duties will include:

Playing a key role in the development of all design proposals for RIBA stage 0-7 and being involved in project development from concept to completion
Working on technical drawings, conceptual design, planning permission, master planning, CGI brochure curation, technical design and project management
Liaising with clients and the team whilst representing the practice
Preparing designs using CAD (computer aided design) software and traditional drawing methods
Monitoring the health and safety of designs and undertaking risk assessments
Preparing applications for approval by regulatory bodies

Person specification – Architectural Technologist:

You’ll ideally be CIAT registered however this is not essential as we’ll also consider candidates with good previous experience (minimum a few years’ experience as an Architectural Technician)  
Experience running your own projects and ability to juggle a number of projects and client expectations at once
A self-motivated individual able to manage own projects as well as working well in a team
The ability and experience to run projects onsite
Sound knowledge of UK building regulations
An understanding of the relevant planning policies and procedures for planning applications
A working knowledge of Sketch-up, InDesign and solid background in AutoCAD and ideally Photoshop
