An exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company working on complex electro-mechanical products. Due to year-on-year growth a brand-new position has become available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have strong 3D CAD skills and also poses experience working with intricate systems and mechanisms. You will be tasked with working from cradle to the grave, from design, calculations, and test through to manufacture.

Main Responsibilities:
* Self-management of tasks whilst working as a full supportive team member on projects
* Design of vacuum metalising solutions
* Relationships with customers (internal & external) and suppliers
Development:
* Ability to contribute ideas / innovation to continued improvement of machine design and drawing systems
* Continuous improvement on keeping up to date on current and relevant market place issues
* Continuous improvement of self and existing skills
Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:
* HND/C or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
* 3D CAD – Inventor/SolidWorks (or similar)
* Strong design experience with complex mechanisms / intricate systems / electro-mechanical products (or similar)
* Able to travel to Europe occasionally (Approx.1-2 times per year)
* DC Motor or Robotics experience (desirable)
