We are currently recruiting for a Junior Designer to join our busy Marketing department. This is a fantastic opportunity to express your creativity and see you work across a variety of different platforms within not only our business, but the wider book trade.
The position will involve a range of different design based roles, across both print and digital. Some of what you will work on will be: digital adverts highlighting Gardners services and promotions, customer catalogues materials for our sales team, internal documentation and event materials. Other ad-hoc tasks and projects will arise to support the wider department and business.
You will have an impeccable eye for detail and strong layout skills.
You will work to ensure our brand guidelines and standards are adhered to in everything we produce.
Our primary tools are Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, so a good working knowledge of these programs is needed.

Additional Information
This is a full time position, however part time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Part time hours would need to be worked between Mon-Fri, 9am-5.30pm. The role is temporarily hybrid, with the view to the position being entirely office based later this year.
Essential Skills
Experience using Adobe CC, with particular focus on InDesign and Illustrator
Excellent eye for detail
The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workload
Confidence to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the business
Have the ability to pick up ad-hoc tasks quickly, potentially at short notice, and provide a fast turnaround
Have a helpful and friendly nature, willing to work and support the rest of the team and the wider business.
Have the initiative to work well on your own.Desirable Skills
