Production Assistant – Womenswear

A well established fashion supplier who design and manufacture cutting-edge, trend driven womenswear ranges for the premium high street and online retailers are currently recruiting for a Production Assistant with strong womenswear, Far East production and high street account management experience to join their established production team.
As a Production Assistant you will be responsible for updating and managing the critical path, confirming and booking orders using external retailer's systems, and overseeing production issues. You will work closely with internal Garment Technologists to ensure fit samples are processed, prepared and sent to retail clients and chase the production samples, along with processing and chasing queries on lab-dips, labels and bulk fabrics. You will be a key member of the production team, and will report directly to the Managing Director.
The ideal applicant must have exceptional production or wholesale merchandising experience working at an assistant level for a UK based fashion supplier. You must demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to work with overseas Far East factories, UK high street buyers, garment technologists and internal colleagues at all levels. Possessing outstanding fabric, merchandising and production knowledge is essential along with critical path management, administration and organisational skills.
