My client based in Ross-On-Wye are looking for a Design Engineer to join the ever-growing team and to assist the Operations Team with the design and engineering requirements of the project delivery. Working Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm paying £30,000 – £35,000 this full time opportunity is great for anyone wanting to continue and grow in a Design Engineer position.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Design Engineer:

Liaise with Project Managers to produce outline drawings for presentation as design concepts
Prepare and publish final quotation drawings to ensure best possible brand representation.
Being involved in initial concept design and quotation through to developed design and installation.
exploring and developing new product ideas
Converting a design brief into a layout drawing (2D) for presentation to customers and incorporating building and machinery drawings into these layouts
carry out component and assembly design in 3D based on verbal brief or existing 2D drawings
Calculate weight loadings for assessment of structural support steelwork
Skills and Attributes of a Design Engineer:

Experience of working with AutoDesk, AutoCAD and Inventor design software.
Experience within 2D and 3D projects.
Can do attitude.
High levels of organisation.
Logistical problem solving.
