We're looking for someone who is:
Passionate about design – especially digital and branding.
Creative – from sketchbook to final outcome, you're got plenty of ideas and know how to deliver them quickly.
Foundation of design knowledge – you may have a design degree, a foundation course or be self-taught however a strong portfolio with an excellent understanding of typography and the key principles of design is a must.
Super software skills – know your way around Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop and InDesign better than your own home. Illustrator and After Effects would be a nice plus.
Receptive – you're a team player and you know that producing creative, on-brand solutions is a team effort, you can explain your design decisions, but feedback welcomed.
Committed – you take pride in your work and is constantly looking to learn and improve your game.
Thorough – your attention to detail is one of your best assets.
What will you do?
You will be supporting the Senior Designer and internal Marketing Team to help create everything from digital graphics for social media, web and email, presentations, develop the company design system and printed marketing collateral.
You'll contribute to every part of the design process, from research and sketches to final design execution.
You'll take part in team meetings and collaborative design sessions.
You'll collaborate with the Marketing team to understand the brand, marketing strategy and business needs.
Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in! We're a small team so we need a designer who doesn't mind pitching in on everything else to do whatever it takes to achieve great things. It's all real-world experience!How you'll work:
Working with the team in Newport (we are in Covid times so some remote collaboration) you'll help produce a variety of design outcomes and assets, from scratch but also from set guidelines and templates. You'll be busy with short project deadlines to meet but your positive energy and communication skills will relish the opportunity to develop
