Drawing pretty pictures won't cut it. You'll need to have commercial awareness and see beyond the idealism that some architects can't seem to embrace.

Urban design, even some master planning would be useful.
The ideal person for this role has plans for doing much more in this company as time progresses and that's not a carrot statement, it's real succession planning. One day you'll wake up with the whole company relient upon your leadership and vision.
