Job Summary

A new position has arisen for a Graphic Designer. You will be joining one of the largest independent transport planning, infrastructure design and flood risk specialists. You will be responsible for undertaking a wide variety of activities to help build and promote my client including the development of visual material to support project reports, bids, tenders and marketing material.

Key Responsibilities

Working with people across the company, the successful candidate will have responsibility for providing expertise in respect of visual figures and graphics for reports, presentations and wider material. Experience within the property or construction industry would be ideal but other backgrounds will be considered. The role would suit an early career graduate with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

Working with colleagues to prepare visually strong and effective material for inclusion with reports, presentations and the website.
Working with colleagues to collaboratively develop and refine graphics work.
Ability to compile bid and submission documents in InDesign or similar software; often to tight deadlines.
Presenting multimodal mobility concepts in captivating and original ways.
Reflect the vision and ethos of the company.
Managing time effectively to meet deadlines and demands from across the business.About you

An enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of visual communication is essential. The successful candidate will need the ability to respond energetically to new ways of presentation.

Essential qualifications and experience:

Degree in Graphic Design or relevant equivalent.
Previous experience of using software such as Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Microsoft PowerPoint and Word in a commercial corporate design context.Essential skills and personal qualities:

Creative flair and a strong visual sense;
Excellent written and verbal communication;
Confidence and ability to present and explain ideas;
Be proficient in managing multiple projects to tight deadlines;
To develop strong relationships with the teams across the business understanding their differing requirements;
Ability to compile, format and proofread reports and documents, often to tight deadlines;
An awareness of the competitive business environment.Other Duties

Additional experience and skills which would be advantageous but not essential:

Portfolio of material within the transport planning, urban design, or architectural fields;
Previous experience as a graphic designer in a property, planning or consultancy environment.
