Video Editor

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £25000 – £30000/annum

This is a newly created role that requires you to showcase your creativity by producing video content across the company’s marketing, product and customer success teams – bringing to life the importance of UK government contracting.

The role will be incredibly varied and will require you to own the end-to-end production process, creating much of the content from scratch – but with the help of our marketing and wider teams to support and inspire you.

The role would suit somebody who is highly creative and is experienced in motion graphics and editing, with a desire to improve their videography skills on the job.

If you’re looking for a role that allows you to truly put your mark on something, and have the freedom to experiment, while helping define the company’s video strategy, then this could be the perfect job for you.

About the Company:

Tussell has fast become the trusted source of insight into the £180bn per year market for UK government procurement contracts. In a climate of almost unprecedented government spending, our market intelligence helps companies to win more public contracts through being informed and proactive. An outcome of our analysis is more transparency, which in turn helps to make the market for public contracts more open and competitive and ultimately to improve public services.

The company is founder-led and investor-backed. Spurred on by the growth in public contracts as the state expands, Tussell had record revenue growth in 2021. Another sign of validation is our high profile in the press: in 2021 our data was cited circa 100 times in the mainstream media – underlining both the political and economic relevance of public contracts and our position as the market’s reference data source.

Following Tussell’s recent growth, we’re looking for a Video Content Editor / Videographer to bring our marketing to life and help grow our presence in new and existing channels.

Day to day responsibilities:

You will report into the Head of Marketing but work across all the teams in the business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Creating and editing video content for ads, social media, newsletters, website and other marketing channels

* Producing high-end product marketing videos to bring the Tussell solution to life

* Experimenting with different formats and styles of video, through different channels, to help determine a clear strategy and roadmap for video at the company

* Filming videos, such as product launches, customer testimonials, podcasts, team interviews etc. either personally (or with the help of external videographers, for complex shoots)

Equipment & software:

A new high performance Macbook will be provided for you to edit your work along with the software you need, plus an equipment budget TBA with you during the hiring process.

Skills & qualifications:

Essential:

* At least 12 months video editing and motion graphics experience – which can be via work placements or on personal projects – evidenced via an impressive and recent showreel

* Good attention to detail

* Basic videography skills – e.g. filming podcast or talking head interviews

* Basic knowledge at least of colour correction, grading and audio mastering

* Experienced in working with industry standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Avid

* Confidence to produce end-to-end video content for social media, with limited input from others

* Creative thinking – ability to bring government contracting public spending – an underreported area of importance, to life

Preferable:

* Interest in current affairs

* An interest in marketing more broadly and the role video plays in it

* Basic design, photography or animation skills

* Any experience with more complex video shoots

Tussell’s Culture:

Tussell is a dynamic company with lots of potential for rapid career progression and personal growth. The culture is entrepreneurial and purposeful – one where initiative and creativity are encouraged, and each person’s contribution is recognised.
