One of the largest outlet centres in Scotland is recruiting a Retail Manager to establish and maintain effective relationships with luxury and aspirational brands with a view to improve performance and drive customer experience and engagement. You will report in to the Centre Manager and support them as a number two – a senior role with lots of responsibility!
The scheme has had a successful couple of years, despite the pandemic, with many of its retailers significantly outperforming their brand's high street stores. The centre is also due to welcome some exciting new F&B tenants in the near future and coming up with innovative ways to transform customer experience at the scheme.
The centre has recently gone through a major redevelopment and this is a great opportunity to take on a unique role at a challenging and pivotal time for the centre. Internal retail communication during this time is paramount, and the role plays a central part in the successful operation of the centre.
What will I be doing?
Engaging with retail partners at all levels (Store Manager to Managing Director).
Understanding and analysing performance trends at store level and across businesses in order to help them improve.
Supporting the development of the shopping centre by liaising closely with all stakeholders to maintain relationships, communicate changes and manage expectations.
Being aware of retailer events and their impact on the centre, ensuring they run smoothly and are well managed.What do I need to apply?
Retail experience, management level or above.
An understanding of trends and ability to analyse data, making recommendations where appropriate.
Tenacious and energetic with strong communication skills.
Leadership qualities and experience.
