At BAM Construction we are looking for a Trainee Design Manager to join the London Region via a sponsorship arrangement. This is an opportunity to develop a rewarding career in Design Management which forms a key part of successful project delivery.
This sponsorship includes financial contribution towards each year of study, summer placements and 1-year industrial placement while you are at university. It also means you will be supported with assignments / dissertations and post graduate opportunity following graduation.
Your mission
During your summer placements and 1-year placement you will be working with our experienced Design team on one of many exciting projects in London. Some of the tasks you will be carrying out as part of your role will be:
• Management and control of design information
• Utilise digital techniques to support the design process
• Administration of Livelink requirements
• Monitoring and recording the information release
• Receiving and reviewing design team drawings
• Monitoring progress and reviewing the design programme
• Identifying change and using change management procedures
• Awareness of design health and safety documentation to be provided
• Awareness of CDM regulations and associated responsibilities
• Consider health and safety during design and construction
• Co-operate with other designers on the project and with the Principal
Who are we looking for?

• Enthusiastic team player, able to listen, understand and respond to instruction and advice
• A desire to learn, improve and seek responsibility
• Clear communication skills, both at the personal level and more formal reporting level
• 3 A-Levels or relevant Level 3 qualification
• Pending application for a degree course at university starting September 2022 in relevant discipline such as Construction Design Management, Architectural technician or similar
