SF Recruitment are excited to be hiring an experienced Financial Controller for our market leading client based in Northampton. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, controlling, and analysing all aspects of our UK functions. You will report on all areas of the business and provide key insights to the management teams and drive the performance of both businesses. You will continue to develop and improve initiatives around how we can work more collaboratively together, enhancing efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
– Preparation and Phasing of Budgets/Forecasts and Quarterly Performance Pack
– Income Recognition and Projects Profitability
– Preparation and presentation of monthly KPI/review reporting to Senior Management Team
– Full oversight and control of Balance Sheet reconciliations
– Full technical accounting support
– Maintain highest standards of Accounting Processes
– All Statutory and Companies House Filings, Tax Management, VAT (Brexit implications)
– Oversight of annual accounts for audit in accordance with IFRS/UK GAAP
– Produce Client Profitability and deliver analysis and recommendations
– Working with Finance Managers on reviewing monthly management accounts,
Cash flow forecasting/management and improvement – payment approvals
– Managing a small team
Skills & Experience:
– ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified or working towards
– Have at least 3 years' experience working in a similar role
– Have a strategic and tactical mind-set
– Able to analyse and interpret reports to identify trends and weaknesses and then recommend improvements
– Must have the mindset to gain a highly detailed knowledge of the businesses
– Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
– Able to work with all levels
– Able to motivate your team to achieve common goals
– Have good communication skills – especially when connecting with the wider organisation
