PRU Teaching Assistant – Redbridge/Essex
Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a strong Teaching Assistant to work in one of their SEN/Alternate schools. The school is a small independent school linked closely to Redbridge local authority. It caters for students that are often from difficult childhoods and/or young offenders.
The successful candidate will be caring for and support students with SEMH needs and who show signs of challenging behaviour. Day-to-day you will be supporting students with their classwork and academically, whilst ensuring that they are making positive steps and building healthy relationship with school and classmates alike.
The ideal candidate will be heavily experience working with primary-aged students, be excellent at building relationships with the students whilst still able to stamp authority on the students when needed. Ideally you will be a graduate and well-educated but this is not essential.
The role will be a full time role working from 8:30 – 3:30.
