Digital Book Designer – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Job Type : Contract, Full Time

Salary :

Black Library is the publishing division of Games Workshop and we are looking for a Digital Book Designer to join our growing team. In this role you will help profitably grow Black Library sales by producing the best quality digital books set within the fictional worlds of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Are you excited by always getting the job done properly, down to every last detail? Are you able to pay close attention to your own work and consistently follow a multi-stop process? Are you driven by getting lots of tasks done at pace? Are you enthusiastic about working closely with other members of the Black Library Publishing team, listening to them and asking questions to understand what is required?

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day creation and delivery of all Black Library eBooks to various digital sales platforms. This is achieved through the use of digital publishing and design applications.

Now is a hugely exciting time for the Black Library studio. We are in one of the most dynamic periods of our 20+ year history, and we want to hear from candidates who have a cheerful resilience, are willing to act appropriately upon feedback and be continuously looking for ways to improve.

We know what makes this job hard is the mix of skill-sets needed, and never accepting second best. Although it's not a 100% creative role, there will be times when you'll need to be highly creative, at pace. And although the role doesn't require a huge amount of coding knowledge, there are times when you'll need to problem-solve within the xhtml and fix the code to ensure an eBook works properly.

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is just as important as your skills and experience.
