Design Manager required to join a global multi-disciplinary consultancy in Manchester.

This is an opportunity for an experienced individual to join a busy, Manchester-based consultancy and take a lead on a number of exciting projects across Manchester and the wider northern region. Their projects cover a wide range of design sectors but the one thing that unifies them is their unbelievable attention to detail and clear commitment to high-quality design.

This company have an excellent track record for delivering successful projects and design solutions across the UK and internationally. They have various regional offices throughout the country and employ over 500 staff. They are looking to greatly increase this number in the coming months including this new hires; an experienced Design Manager.

We are hoping for the Design Manager to meet the following criteria:

Have relevant industry experience within the fields of Architecture, Engineering or Design Management.
Be a proven team leader with ability to coordinate across multi-sector teams.
To have a good understanding of 'buildability' and experience across the full RIBA Plan of work.
To have an awareness of good CDM principles.
Experience bidding for and winning work.
Have excellent commercial awareness.
Software experience including the following: MS Project & MS Excel.

The role will include leading design team meetings and overseeing the design and construction of multiple, large-scale buildings. We are looking for someone experienced, confident and most importantly motivated to succeed in a new role.
