We are looking for an experieinced Design Engineer to become this compnaies Product Engineer joining a multi-talented team at a well invested manufacturing site in Segensworth near to Fareham, Hampshire. In this role you'll fundamentally be involved in managing production activities, from a Design bias, ensuring all stages of production are efficient. This company design and manufacture complex mechanical products that are machined, fabricated, assembled on site and distributed across the globe. They will pay depending on your relating experience a salary between £40000 and £45000 in this role.

This site host around 200 professionals, serving global markets and offering their customers products where the highest industry standards are expected. You'll be part of a broad team within Design working closely with Sales Engineers, Account Managers, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain as well as customers and sub contracts.

The products they make vary, the components are all machined to very tight precision tolerances, are assembled and fabricated into products such as switches, valves and filtration devices.

As a Product Engineer 50% of your role will involve ensuring the smooth transfer of a product through all stages, addressing corrective/preventative actions from a design point of view, working closely with production (machine shop and assembly) and quality to swiftly resolves issue, reviewing drawings, making design changes etc.

As a Production Engineer, you'll also be able to get involved with Engineering Contract reviews circa 20% of the time, manage obsolescence activities, analyse product to ensure integrity of design and performance, providing technical support internally, externally and to customers and suppliers around 10% of the time and set milestones with them to ensure activities are always progressing forwards.

You could already be a design engineering looking to take on greater exposure to manufacturing operations, you could be a project engineer again looking to gain greater operations experience in your career, or you might be in a similar production supporting role within engineering and are enticed by the variety of engineering this company can offer.

So what do I need?

A form of relating mechanical engineering certification, ideally a degree
At least 5 years into your engineering manufacturing career
Solid understanding of design engineering within manufacturing
CAD experience
Great dynamic communication skills to interact well between the departments
Current eligibility to work in the UKDrive and character are key!!
