Mechanical Design Draftsman
Global Recruitment are representing an Engineering company that specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of special-purpose equipment as well as our own range of training equipment. They operate from their two well-equipped facilities as well as a range of customer sites on light to medium fabrication, pipework and installation.
The Mechanical Design Draughtsman's key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Maintain the highest standards of customer relationship and service.
* Comply with all company rules, regulations, legal and health and safety requirements.
* Identify and liaise with clients to ensure the product meets their requirements.
* Compile drawings for client approval.
* Attend site meetings with Clients as and when required.
* Provide material and labour estimates.
* Provide technical help and information to the shop floor.
* Help improve and develop current company drawings and processes.
* Liaise with all relevant staff and departments to achieve high standard results.
* Work from your own initiative and take appropriate action to resolve problems.
We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:
* Proficient in Solidworks or Inventor
* Experience in a Fabrication and Welding company
* Understand metal fabrication processes in stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, including surface treatments and coatings
* Ability to sketch up initial drafts on paper, through to full manufacturing drawings

Salary: Up to £46k (Depending on experience)
