Salary : £350 – £400/day

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Video Content Manager for an initial 6 month contract – with the potential to extend – on a rate of c.£350-£400/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based with the possibility of hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

Shoot engaging video and photography content to be used across all social media channels
Work alongside news and marketing colleagues to originate and produce accurate, engaging still and motion assets that support the organisation’s strategic priorities across stills and motion
Add creative value to the team, inspiring innovative visual content optimised social media and other digital platforms. Be an expert in delivering video content designed for social channels including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
Utilise pre-production skills to efficiently organise and plan filming opportunities, arranging logistics as required
Support the quality of still and motion delivery across the output of the Social Content Hub, acting as a key point of contact for video enquiries and training others on basic video editing software
Bring technical expertise to shoots, with an understanding of camera equipment, lighting, sound recording and digitising media
Use a wide range of post-production skills across video editing, colour grading and sound mixing to optimise the quality of output
Ensure attention to detail is actioned throughout each project and implement quality control measures
Play a key role in ensuring that video content meets accessibility standards
Archive assets as they are created in a way that allows re-use or re-purposing for different circumstances
Essential Skills:

Proven photography and video production skills, with demonstrable experience using modern camera technology and editing software.
Advanced understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software, in particular Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom and After Effects
Excellent judgement and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
Strong track record of creating and delivering effective visual content for social media 

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience of working on public sector communications or campaigns.
