Outstanding opportunity for an Architectural Technologist required to join a medium sized architectural practice based in Birmingham city centre. The practice are well established following a successful 20+ years since the company's inception, flourishing in a variety of sectors, predominantly in Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial and Industrial schemes.

The practice have gone from strength to strength and have enjoyed a period of sustainable growth, making a number of Junior – Intermediate level appointments. An experienced Architectural Technologist is now required to further facilitate the growth of the Birmingham office, within the Commercial & Industrial team. The practice is divided up in to two departments, one being Healthcare focused, and the other being focused in Industrial, Education, Residential and other areas.

Both departments are extremely busy and have critically urgent requirements for additional Architectural Technologists to join them. This particular position is geared towards joining the Commercial & Industrial team, so individuals with experience working on large scale steel frame structures, and other large scale commercial & industrial schemes will be looked on very favourably for this role.

This particular position is open to Architectural Technologists with at least 5 years of industry experience, ideally spent within an architectural practice. Due to the nature and size of the projects to be worked on, Revit software is used on a large percentage of work within the practice. Therefore a thorough understanding of Revit software is highly desirable for this position.

Responsibilities & skills required for the Architectural Technologist role include, but are not limited to:

– High attention to detail

– Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations

– Thorough technical capabilities

– A wealth of industry knowledge in various sectors, with particular impetus on Commercial, Industrial, and Education schemes.

– Job running experience desirable but not necessarily essential.

– Proficiency in the applied use of some of the following: AutoCAD, Revit, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Architectural Technologists applying for this position should also ideally hold either a degree in Architectural Technology or a HNC/HND in related fields, or an equivalent UK recognised qualification.

A competitive salary will be offered to the successful applicant in the region of £32,000-£40,000 per annum, alongside a competitive benefits package which includes the following.
