PLEASE NOTE:
The person can work from home 2 days per week (once trained sufficiently to do so) and will be required to attend the office 3 days per week.
The client is looking for someone with good admin and customer service experience with a passion for technical design and keen to learn. Ideally, they will have some experience designing products, perhaps recently graduated & looking for their first role, but this is not essential.
We are recruiting for a Technical Design Co-ordinator for a large and reputable company to join their Design Team.
You will advise customers on the use and applications of our products to secure customer and project information from which you will create a design /specification solution for the customer. You must be able to build good relationships with designers and contractors. You will also provide advice and support to our internal estimating team and our external sales team. You will support the day to day activities of the design team including the management of incoming emails, provide design advice to our customers over the telephone and create simple design solutions using our standard drainage products.
Once you are conversant with our products and design software, the role may expand to develop more complex design solutions.
Main Tasks
Technical / Design assistance to Building Drainage Division.
Ensure correct applicable procedures are followed.
Customer consultation – Technical
Layouts, specification and materials advice.
Entering data accurately from enquiries received into the CRM system leading to formal specification proposals as required.
Value engineering, estimating and costing as applicable.
Create and review technical drawing contracts (training provided).
Knowledge & Skills
Excel, Word, Power Point, CRM, AutoCAD (not essential but desirable), Inventor skills – training can be provided.
Customer focused with an excellent telephone manner.
Personal skills and behaviour
Capacity to deal with multiple enquiries and delegate as required, demonstrating time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Working hours:34.5hours per week, Monday to Friday.
