Conrad Consulting are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading property development group for an Architect. We are looking for someone creative, ambitious, commercially minded, clever and with real aspirations to take the next step in their Architectural career. This type of role comes around once in a blue moon and we are managing this initial recruitment phase exclusively on behalf of our client.
Working in Design & Construction, you will likely have heard of this company before. Their presence is felt across the UK but most prominently here in the North-West. Their history of high quality student accommodation & build-to-rent Residential schemes have become a staple in Manchester city-centre and in other large cities across the UK including Leeds, Birmingham and London. Their experienced team of Senior Architectural professionals are careful in creating exciting, new Student Accommodation concepts and they are very aware of what makes 'good' design in their Residential schemes.
Their design team is supported by a diverse team of multi-sector professionals including sales personnel, construction professionals, marketing, Surveying, Land-acquisition specialists who are all based in their North-West head office. That is where this Architect role is to be based from; right in the middle of this cross-sector organisation where collaborative working has been championed for many years.
This Architect role will see the successful candidate working closely with fellow experienced Architects, some with 20+ years industry experience. The common goal is to design and create attractive and commercially viable new Residential concepts for distribution across the UK. This will involve working with internal teams of construction professionals, coordinating with external Architectural teams and reporting back to upper management for approval and sign-off.
We are looking for an Architect ideally, but would consider someone without ARB/RIBA qualification if they can demonstrate appropriate skills and a real desire to work in a Development-focused environment.
Candidates must have:
* Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.
* Residential experience is key, preferably medium/high-rise. Experience of new-build projects is a must.
* Software skills including: AutoCAD, Sketchup, InDesign, Photoshop.
* Well presented with excellent communication skills (Written, verbal, visual)
* Creativity, flair, confidence, self-motivation, organisation.
