About the role
The Photography teamwork within the Merchandising and Marketing department and are responsible for accurately photographing and editing a wide range of company products for the websites, catalogues and marketing channels. This is an interesting and challenging role with often highly reflective products, providing the room to grow and develop your skill set. As Product Photographer the role includes:
Photographing and editing a range of products for use online and in the catalogue.
Supporting the fast-growing ranges that are introduced into the business across brands
Supporting the team to get these ranges online in the best way possible
Working within the photography studio, a dedicated space to help you create high quality imagery of our products.
The studio is well equipped with the latest in camera and lighting equipment and also boasts a custom-built set, helping you to capture in situ and lifestyle imagery, bringing the products to life.
About the responsibilities
As Product Photographer you will be:
Creating studio set-ups ready for high quality product photography of all of the company’s products to meet customer needs
Editing and uploading images to the catalogue software and the website, performing colour matching if required
Quality control to ensure photography specifications are met and delivered on time
Administering all images into our Catalogue Management system ready for output by the catalogue artworkers and onto the website
Working to photography style guides ensuring all products are photographed in accordance
Tracking photography projects using excel and online tools to ensure projects are delivered on-time
Other ad hoc photography duties including staff headshots and promotional campaigns
Creation of compositional and in-situ images to be used on the company social channels and across various marketing material, with the aim of showing off the products in a more creative manner than just standard product photography
Supporting with the delivery of the Videography strategy.
The ideal candidate
Our client is looking for:
A creatively minded individual
A person who is able to work individually and as part of a team
The ability to trouble shoot and capture imagery that pushes the boundaries of what the company is able to achieve
A Photographer with a strong understanding of photography that ideally has experience of working within a studio setting
Skills and experience:
To be successful for the role of Product Photographer you will need:
1-2 years in a hands-on photography role OR a Photography BA Hons Degree 2:1 or above
Previous experience within a studio setting
Experience in the Adobe Suite, with a good working knowledge and understanding of photo editing using Photoshop
Knowledge of Capture One (desirable)
Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills
Positive, highly motivated
Strong general computer literacy, specifically MS Excel
English language GCSE Level A-C

About the rewards
As Product Photographer you will work 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and there is on offer:
A salary of £22,000 to £24,000 per annum, depending on experience
