A UI/UX Designer, with prior experience designing for desktop applications, is needed to join an innovative and rapidly growing scientific R&D company in Oxford.
The Role
This role will be the first UI/UX Designer to solely focus on the UI/UX within the team and will take full ownership of the delivery of the UX solutions for our client’s business critical and customer facing desktop applications. Using sketches, wireframes, and prototypes the UI/UX Designer will transform user stories into intuitive solutions that seamlessly integrate with the frontend software.
Ideally visiting the office a couple of days a week, this person will work closely with the software and product teams, as well as liaise with customers to understand their needs. This is a great role for an established UI/UX Designer to make a real difference the company’s progression.

What’s Required?
For this UI/UX Designer role, we are looking for:
Proven experience in a similar role, delivering scalable UX solutions for desktop applications
A strong knowledge of the design processes and principles of UX
Strong ability using tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, Figma or similar
A relevant degree such as design, fine arts or engineering would be a plus
A keen interest in science and technology, plus any exposure to scientific software would be beneficial
