We are working on an amazing opportunity for a Studio Manager of an award winning and sustainability focussed architectural and design practice in North London. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a forward thinking and collaborative administrative team. This is initially a maternity cover, with the possibility of going permanent.

They are looking for someone who is proactive and polite, who will be heavily relied upon from other staff members. They could consider this as a part-time (3/4 days) role too.

Duties

– Management of the building: implementing & managing facility processes & procedures,

induction of all staff, managing & instructing building repairs, etc.

– Health & Safety / fire safety management: ensuring building is fully compliant with Health &

Safety regulations, fire safety requirements, insurance requirements, CHAS accreditation

– IT: purchasing, liaising with external IT team, troubleshooting, maintaining IT records,

software updates

– Managing studio suppliers and utility providers, supply purchasing, overseeing staff expenses,

management of studio & supplies inventory

– Support Practice Director with budgets and accounts

– Responsibility for the appearance of the studio space. Maintaining storage, library and modelmaking areas alongside other staff coordinators.

– Management of weekly design reviews

– Alongside the sustainability group, coordinate annual ISO14001:2015 environmental

accreditation

– Management of the studio handbook in line with ISO9001:2015 quality standards

– Alongside Directors' PA, first point of contact for callers on main phoneline

– Organising meeting room bookings, maintenance of meeting room spaces. Distributing

incoming mail/deliveries and organising couriers/post and taxis

– Co-management of Directors' PA (marketing & communications role), support on award

submission entries as needed

– Management of digital image library on Open Asset

– Website maintenance and function / troubleshooting; including ensuring project & people

pages are up to date and all information is current.

– Alongside Directors' PA, periodical newsletter preparation and issue

– Alongside Directors' PA, event management of industry events, staff events and socials

The ideal candidate will have solid administrative experience from an architectural, design or creative environment, with strong MS Office skills (in particular Word and Excel) and In-Design.
