Artworker

Due to an internal move, Howdens are looking for an Artworker to work as part of our design team based in our office in Raunds, Northamptonshire.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you’ll need to have worked as an Artworker before, ideally in a large, commercial organisation or design agency as you will be working on multiple projects and be responsible for producing and delivering artwork and presentation materials, in response to the changing needs of our business.
What will I be doing as an Artworker?
– Accountable for the production of a diverse range of printed media from brochures to leaflets, POS, local marketing, and exhibitions whilst working closely with the marketing and products teams.
– Interpreting briefs and objectives, producing creative layouts through to print ready artwork and manage job tracking, recording and file management.
– Confidently assisting in the retouching of images for literature.
– Produce graphic and display updates and presentations for meetings.
– Coordinate printing either in house or via third party suppliers and managing file handling.
What do I need to qualify for this Artworker role?
– Previous experience in an Artworker role ideally for a large, commercial organisation or design agency.
– Experience in art working print ready design, specifically, brochures, POS, and other printed media.
– Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
– Experience of producing large scale brochures.
– Ability to prioritise daily workload, manage multiple projects from start to finish, projects large and small sometimes to tight deadlines.
– Excellent organisational skills with a flexible attitude
– Able to communicate with varying stakeholders and present concepts and ideas.
– Great people skills and able to work collaboratively within a team.
– Exceptional attention to detail and good layout skills.
– Able to work on own initiative, while also being a team player.
– Advanced Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
– Ability to retouch images.
– Knowledge of the print process.
– Experience of Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects and SketchUp would be an advantage.
– Experience of using Step would also be an advantage.
