A great opportunity has arisen for a Roof Truss Designer to be a part of the design team at a growing timber engineering company based in the Midlands. Based from the company's offices near to Hinckley, the Roof Truss Designer will be estimating and designing roof trusses and engineered floor joists. The successful Designer will be required to review architectural plans to produce detailed, accurate drawings, designs and quotations.
As a Roof Truss Designer, you will be used to dealing with large projects and possess a good understanding of both simple to complex designs. Reporting to the design manager, you will be expected to liaise with architects, customers and other contractors to ensure a smooth delivery of the final product within tight timescales. Candidates with previous experience of MiTek software would be preferential.
Roof Truss Designer Position Overview
Review architectural plans to produce detailed drawings, designs and quotations
Liaise with architects, customers and other contractors to ensure a smooth delivery of the final product within tight timescales
Communicating with the production team to ensure they are provided with the relevant information for manufacturing.

Roof Truss Designer Position Requirements
Previous experience in designing roof trusses or posi joists
Familiar with specialist design software, MiTek
Understanding of both simple and complex designs
Good communication skills
Computer literate
Full UK Driver's License

Preferably office based but can accommodate a work/home basis for the right candidate
Start off 28 days holiday including all bank holidays and Christmas break, this increases with length of service.
Hours are Mon – Thurs 8am to 5pm, Friday is 8am to 4pm
