Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for the position of Tech Swing on the London production of The Book of Mormon.
Responsibilities will include:
* Working in collaboration with other departments
* Keeping all sound and automation equipment clean and in good show quality condition
* Assisting with daily sound and auto checks and regular maintenance calls
* Maintaining the working order of radio mics and assist with fittings and changes as required.
* Learning 4x backstage plots and system switch on
* Responsible for operating the automation equipment as instructed and dictated by the artistic requirements and direction of the production.
* Attend rehearsal calls and cover runs where required
* Ability to handle emergency repairs
Candidates experience should include:
* Experience in large scale theatre environment
* Knowledge of current Health & Safety guidelines and working practices
* Relevant hands-on professional experience in theatre sound and automation
* The ability to adapt, work under pressure and within a team
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Be a good listener
* Knowledge of Shure Radio mic systems is desirable but not essential
Applications are welcome until Monday 2nd May 2022. Interviews will take place in person w/c 9th May 2022.
The contract will be for a minimum of 12 months, and applicants should be available to start w/c 23rd May 2022. Performances are typically Monday to Saturday evenings with matinee performances on Friday and Saturday.
