A unique opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer, to join a leading Interior Design firm based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
The practice has been established for over 30 years now, in which time they have become one of the West Midlands' leading interior design consultancies, building a stellar reputation and an enviable client portfolio along the way. The company has been growing at a steady pace over the last 12 months, making appointments in both their Interiors team, and within the Architectural/Technical team that operates in the business.
The role on offer here is for a Senior Interior Designer to join the team with the purpose of being one of the main contacts for a high profile client, managing the continued roll out of their new and existing units UK wide. The client in question is a well known high street hospitality brand that are one of the UK's major chains.
As a Senior Interior Designer in this position, you will be reporting to the Design Manager whilst managing a team of Designers predominantly working for this particular client. There may be other projects and clients to be worked with, but all will be within the Hospitality sector. It's therefore essential that applicants to this position must have a proven background of working within the Hospitality sector.
Key Roles within this position as follows:
Manage a team of Designer working on new developments.
Responsible for the production of, and consistency of the drawings produced.
Working individually and as a team to tight timescales.
Responsible for keeping up to date with the client manual & design developments.
Managing the day to day client workload with Partner & to ensure deadlines are met to the agreed timescale.
You will also be a key member of the team and wider office, and will be handed management style responsibilities. These responsibilities will include:
Managing holiday approvals for your team.
Ensuring the work of your team is consistent with client requirements, in line with client budgets, consistent content across drawing packs, done & issued in line with workload plan, and thoroughly checked before presentation.
Ongoing reviews and feedback to staff on schemes & drawing packages produced.
Managing template files to ensure they are in line with the latest information.
This is a unique Senior Interior Designer position in which you will be a key component within the team focusing on a key client for the business. The position will suit a Senior Interior Designer that has design flair, technical nous, and management experience. The position will come with fantastic opportunities for progression with the opportunity to progress through to Associate level and beyond.
The practice are currently operating on a flexible/hybrid working schedule that will see you working 2-3 days in the office, and the rest from home. However, given the nature of the role and the level of management involved, it may be beneficial for you to be in the office more often than not. It would therefore be ideal if applicants are within an hours commuting radius from Kenilworth.
The successful Senior Interior Designer will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, with salary likely to be in the region of £40,000-£50,000 negotiable dependant on experience.
