Excellent opportunity here for an experienced RTPI/RICS (P&D) chartered Senior/Principal Planner to join the Planning Consultancy team within multi-disciplinary Architectural firm, based in Birmingham city centre.
The company are one of Birmingham's largest practices, made up of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, Project Managers, Interior Designers and more. As part of the Planning Consultancy Team, you will be part of a group providing consultancy services to the company's clients in the Midlands and London region.
Your role will involve managing a variety of projects, providing advice to clients, drafting reports and planning submissions, and undertaking activates to gain the necessary permissions required for our clients. You will assist with the management of the team's caseload, business development activities and any other duties that would reasonably be expected to be undertaken.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience (ideal unless stated as required)
Town Planning Hons Degree and an RTPI Accredited Planning Masters Degree (Required) or an equivalent organisation; or
Hons Degree (or equivalent) with an RTPI Accredited Planning Masters Degree (Required) or an equivalent organisation
RTPI Chartered Membership or an equivalent organisation (Required)
At least 5 years post chartered experience preferably in housing.
Driving Licence (required).
Evidence of good people skills and an ability to negotiate the best outcome for clients (Required)
Evidence of good research and analysis skills (Required)
Evidence of good report writing and presentation skills (Required)
Evidence of good project management, prioritisation, and time-management skills (Required)
Evidence of a good understanding of the UK planning processes, policy and legislation including Hybrid Bills (Required)
Experience of managing a wide range of town planning activities on large development schemes (Required)
Experience of residential development.
The successful Senior Planner for this position will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, likely to be in the region of £35,000-£40,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.
