Role Responsibility:
Reporting to the Design Director as a Junior Designer and working within a Team of 8 you will be responsible for producing designs for printed bedding and curtains and for cataloguing and archiving completed designs
The Candidate
· Some exposure to Textiles & Design – Full Training will be provided
· Textile Degree is desirable but not essential
· Experience of Handwriting and Painting on textiles alongside digital design
· Highly motivated individual that understands and works towards company objectives.
· Excellent time management and organisational skills.
· Strong multi-tasking skills.
· Able to work to strict deadlines and work under pressure.
· A flexible attitude to all tasks.
· Strong IT skills required (Good proficiency with Excel).
The Role
· Responsible for preparing designs for printing, ensuring they are in repeat and colour reduced.
· You will produce artwork to design briefs for selection.
· Designing to customer specifications and briefs.
· Identifying seasonal trends and concepts for presentation to customers.
· Liaising with customers on their design briefs and preparing portfolios for
· design selection
· Instructing suppliers on design, quality and colour requirements for
· Sampling or printed and woven curtains.
· Archiving and cataloguing completed designs using Daminion software.
