This job would suit someone currently working as a Structural Engineer, looking for a chance to develop their career into a senior or managerial position.

Salary: £40,000 to £44,600 p/a (depending on experience).

Full time hours for this role are 37 hours per week.

As a Structural Engineer, you will play an integral part within the multi-disciplinary Design Services team for the successful delivery of professional services for a variety of clients and sectors within Southampton across a range of structural engineering services.

It is required that you have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification, e.g., BSc or BEng and be working towards professional accreditation with the Institution of Civil Engineering (ICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) together with post-graduation experience as a Structural Engineering designer.
You will have proven experience of delivering projects both on time and in budget or be able to demonstrate the ability to complete tasks on AutoCAD, Revit or Tekla Tedds software.

It is expected that you will have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant design and construction related legislation including Building Regulations and CDM 2015, along with relevant codes of practice including British Standards and Eurocodes.

Experience of AutoCAD, Revit or Tekla Tedds software is required.

As a Structural Engineer it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of BIM requirements; and possess the ability to coordinate structural engineering designs with other design disciplines.

The successful candidate will communicate in a co-operative and persuasive manner and will be able to build excellent client and colleague relationships, as well as prioritise, delegate, and manage multiple tasks or projects to meet deadlines.
