Warehouse Supervisor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £32000/annum
Salary: DOE Starting from £28/30,000 – £32,000
Working hours: Core hours are 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, with possible overtime and weekend work on a rota basis between 04:00 and 22:00

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join us in a brand new state-of-the-art secure facility based close to London Heathrow Airport who has the ability to securely receive, handle and pack high value items. The role will include loading and unloading transport vehicles and providing excellent customer service to customers/clients and administrative colleagues. Full training will be provided for the right candidate
Main responsibilities:
· Determine staffing levels and assign workload accordingly using the warehouse schedule/ FADAS warehouse board and the LEO system as it comes on line
· Assist Warehouse Manager in all aspects of the daily running and client liaison
· Maintain the warehouse inventory daily by booking items in/issuing out, change location via the IMA system to ensure records are accurate and up to date
· File all relevant paperwork for jobs issued
· Coordinate viewings for clients as and when requested
· Ensure the safe unloading of incoming or loading of outgoing shipments
· Highlight any errors identified on incoming works such as missing object labels, incorrect or missing paperwork to manager
· Liaise with co-ordinators when queries arise regarding items received and released, investigating any discrepancies
· Complete warehouse instructions in a timely manner
· Assist with new warehouse staff inductions and training
· Identify and allocate correct storage areas for works received to prevent damage
· Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse and surrounding areas ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
· Assist with queries from warehouse staff and drivers outside of normal working hours
· Communicate effectively with clients to answer questions or resolve any problems
· Perform daily audits
· Ensure warehouse staff follow relevant company procedures and processes
· Perform daily fire checks and complete log
· Prepare all outgoing deliveries for the following morning the afternoon before, making sure items are placed in the transit area with correct paperwork attached
· Maintain warehouse storage by movement of items, condensing areas where needed to maximise space
Additional Duties:
· Respond to general emails
· Assess items received and wrap using the correct packing materials
· Collate weekly equipment (forklift etc.) defect reports completed by warehouse staff and file
· Report warehouse repairs where necessary to maintenance and stay on top of
· Assist Warehouse Manager in procedural and policy development and implementation
Essential:
· Experience in a supervisory capacity
· Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
· Driving licence
· Willingness to work across sites
· A sound understanding of health and safety and procedures of art handling
· Must live within 30 minutes commute
Desirable:
· Ex-Military Service or equivalent
