Design Engineer role will include
Design engine components, assemblies & retrofits
Provide technical support within the business mainly with customer queries
Design solutions 
Create layouts with verification using calculations including FEA techniques
Production of manufacturing drawings
Involved in investigation of the service product failures

As the successful Design Engineer;
Any of the below is preferable 
Proven working design experience on rotating or heavy industry equipment.
2D & 3D CAD experience
