Fantastic opportunity here for an Architectural Technologist to join a small scale practice in Northampton with big ambitions for growth, which could see you working your way all the way up to Associate and Associate Director level.
THE COMPANY:
As an Architectural Technologist you will be joining a small Architectural practice based in Northampton, that have been established for just over 12 years. The team is currently 4 strong, featuring the Director and Head of Office, an experienced Architect, an Architectural Technician, and an experienced Planner that heads up all things Planning related.
This close knit team of individuals work together closely in a friendly and welcoming office in Northampton, delivering projects in a range of sectors and project types. The practice predominantly work within the Residential and Commercial sectors, which features a mix of developer style housing, care homes, high rise, bespoke housing, industrial work, barn conversions and more.
The team of 4 work together in a modern open plan office situated close to Northampton town centre with free car parking available outside the office building. They are also based within a reasonably short walk from Northampton train station for those commuting from outside the area. The practice are understanding of the need for a flexible work-life balance, and are open to both hybrid working and flexible working hours where required.
THE POSITION – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST
This is an outstanding opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join a growing practice that will provide you with a varied and exciting workload, ongoing development and mentoring, and the opportunity to advance in your career along with the growth of the practice.
The ideal candidate will be an Architectural Technologist with approx 2-5 years post qualification experience as a minimum, ideally with experience of working in the Residential sector first and foremost, but with a varied portfolio overall. The practice use AutoCAD & Revit software with AutoCAD proficiency being essential, and Revit knowledge being an added benefit. Training can be provided on Revit where necessary.
Working in a small team where everyone pulls their weight, you will be exposed to elements of projects that you wouldn't necessarily see when working in a large scale practice for instance.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST
Possess a degree in Architectural Technology, or a HNC/HND in a related field.
Approx 2-5 years experience, although this position can also be opened up to Senior level candidates also.
Experience of working on a range of project types and sectors, but with particular focus on the Residential and Commercial sectors.
Proficiency in AutoCAD as a minimum requirement, with the added benefit of Revit proficiency (training can be provided).
