An established accessories brand known for its trendy fashion accessories and jewellery collections is currently recruiting for an Assistant Designer with exceptional product knowledge and trend awareness to join their creative head office based in Manchester.
As an Assistant Designer you will be responsible for creating and designing on-trend men's and women's Accessories & Jewellery ranges for high street retailers and brands keeping in-line with the design and buying brief. You will work closely with the internal Account Manager to attend design/development meetings, conduct trend forecasting, competitive shops, fashion events, and factory meetings if necessary.
The ideal applicant must have previous fashion, accessories and/ or jewellery design experience preferably working for a fashion supplier, high street retailer or fashion brand. You must have strong research and trend awareness skills, demonstrating exceptional experience designing on-trend yet commercial designs. With an understanding of working with overseas factories, product construction, creating specs and tech packs, and managing the development process. It is essential you have excellent CAD and I.T skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe programs Photoshop & Illustrator, along with strong communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills.
