My client is a leading FMCG manufacturer based in the Peterborough area. They are globally recognised, and their products are exported worldwide. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Packaging Technologist to join their team.
They are seeking a Packaging Technologist who is an enthusiastic self-starter, with a genuine passion for packaging and working in creative teams to take projects from initial brief through to development and launch stage.
The role will be incredibly diverse but will include –
* Lead packaging development from brief through to final product stages ensuring projects are delivered on time in full.
* Develop fit for purpose packaging through robust pack testing and packaging line trials.
* Assist the procurement team with sourcing and encouraging suppliers to present new innovative packaging solutions, processes and developments.
* Supply the R&D department with componentry and relevant documentation for compatibility testing.
* Complete reports relating to packaging, packaging waste and pre-production
The ideal candidate should be qualified (ideally in packaging or a science related field) with a proven background working as a Packaging Technologist / within a Packaging Development role. Knowledge of plastic or glass packaging would also be an advantage. Being PC / Microsoft literate is also important.
My client would also consider a graduate packaging technologist who has done a placement incorporating the above criteria.
