RIBA Qualified Architectural Assistant

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £18000 – £25000/annum

An ambitious Architectural practice, based close to Brentwood in Essex, is on the lookout for a highly motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to become an important part of the firm's future…

This is a very rare opportunity for an Architectural Assistant to get involved with projects at all stages whilst becoming a key figure in the growth of the business and work towards becoming a fully chartered Architect. Not only that, but the chance to gain an insight and learn key skills within the world of property development through the practice's sister company who share the same office will genuinely be available to the successful candidate.

If you have ever held ambitions of combining your Architecture profession with the world of property development, then make sure you take advantage of this!

Projects currently being operated upon by the practice fall largely within the Residential sector – ranging from private extensions through to multi-unit house developments and apartment blocks – however more Commercial and Mixed-Use projects have been taken on recently.

To be successful in the role you will need to be a very driven individual with long term career goals and a determination to achieve. Although you will be provided with all the support and mentorship you require to develop as an Architectural professional it will also be expected that you can work autonomously on tasks very quickly – acting with responsibility and maturity.

The career progression opportunity exists beyond just developing as an Architect – with the owner of the business looking to provide a pathway to employees to one day succeed and take over the running and owning of the business. This a great opportunity for those with great ambition!

To be successful in this role you will need to be a confident and clear communicator as you will gain exposure to clients and learn the business development side of running an Architectural practice.

Applications will be considered for both Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants.
