Company: A well-established litho printing and digital printing manufacture.
Role: My client is currently looking for a BUR Binder Operator to join their growing team in Swindon.
My client are looking to recruit a BUR Binder Operator the position will involve:
Set up and operate the PUR Binding Line – Muller Acoro A7
Read job bag information to determine setup, specifications, and instructions
Ensure the product is staged correctly at the machine, by following the make-ready process
Set up and operate a high-speed automated PUR Binder (Kolbus/Muller), gather machine, three knife trimmer and stacker to achieve maximum efficiency
Ensure accurate programming using the computer controls
Oversee set up and correct loading of the signature in the gatherer
Ensure adhesive is applied correctly and books are being trimmed to specifications
Examine finished product for defects
Ability to assist in other areas as production levels require
Requirements:
Have experience of running Muller martini or Kolbus binding lines, PUR -SEWN-PB books
Used to overseeing operators while staging, loading, and stacking finished products
Ability to follow quality control guideline
Be able to work under pressure in our busy production environment
Self-motivated and driven
