Salary : £37500 – £40000/annum

A highly reputable and fiercely design led RIBA Chartered Practice in North Leeds are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior level Architectural Technologist / Technician to join their 10 strong team.

The successful candidate will be working on a varied and challenging portfolio of work spanning the Residential, Educational and Heritage / Conservation sectors, this role offers genuine variation and will combine a mixture Technical detailing and managing multiple projects on site.

You will be joining an established Chartered Practice with a purpose-built open plan studio space located in a delightful semi-rural setting within walking distance to a very nice market town and excellent local amenities. The Practice currently operate a policy of working 3 days per week in the studio and 3 days remotely. Culturally they have a fabulous mix of talented Architects (several are accredited in building conservation) designers and Technologists, many of these have been with the business for the majority of their career.

The successful Senior Architectural Technologist / Technician will be able to:

Produce accurate and detailed construction drawings to current Building Regulations standard.

Produce detailed works instructions, specifications and schedules of work.

Understand technical, contractual and professional aspects of work and continually maintain technical knowledge.

Liaise with contractors, sub-contractors, Clients and Design teams – previous job running experience.

Demonstrate good time management and self-organisation

The ability to work with minimal supervision on construction drawings and Tender Packages

Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations & Cross sector standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

Relevant qualification HNC, HND BSC (Hons) in Architectural Technology.

ACIAT / MCIAT preferred but not essential

10+ years industry, experience, post-graduation

On site experience.

Computer literate – essential experience with AutoCAD.

REVIT experience desirable but not essential.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

High level of accuracy and administrative efficiency.

Driving license and transport essential.

Salary depending on experience between £37,000 – £40,000 per annum + Benefits and the option of home working and flexible hours.
