A market leading fashion brand renowned for its menswear and womenswear apparel have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Fabric Technologist with strong performance apparel, accessories and outerwear experience to join it's established technical team.
As a Senior Fabric Technologist you will be required to manage the critical path, create Test Request Sheet advising their Far East factories what base and bulk tests are needed for each style and each retail account, you will chase the factories for base test reports and approve so the care labels can be created by the Garment Technologist. You will ensure all bulk tests including Garment Appearance are completed before production samples arrive, and completed tests are uploaded, along with keeping up to date with Reach Compliance and relevant regulations. You will report directly to the Technical Manager and be a valued member of the PD and Technical Team.
The ideal applicant must have previous fabric technologist experience working for a premium brand or high street retailer at an established level and looking for the next step in your career. You must have experience conducting and chasing test reports, working with overseas factories, and up to date with REACH compliance and regulations. You must be I.T proficient, have excellent knowledge of bulk fabric testing, garment construction, wash-care labels and the life cycle of a garment.
