About the role:
Our client is currently looking for a full-time Kids Jewellery Designer based in their London office. This will be an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast paced fashion accessories office. Working with a small UK based team and under the direction of the UK Design Manager, to assist in creating trend driven and commercial product.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be highly creative and enthusiastic, with a keen eye for emerging jewellery and accessory trends. You will have proficient Adobe CAD skills (Illustrator essential) & knowledge of 3D CAD software. You will need to have strong communication skills, be adaptable, organized and above all motivated. This position is for someone who is truly interested in learning and being part of a team. A good researcher that pays attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working to design briefs to develop brand appropriate product
* Design forward & seasonal capsule collections
* Identify key & emerging trends
* Drive trends; from initial concept, colour and material palettes/boards to developed product
* Analysing competitive retailers, creating comprehensive reports
* Develop strong relationships with US & China based teams
* Create technical specifications to company guidelines
* Create design assets & templates
* Work on multiple briefs at the same times & manage deadlines
Designer Profile:
* Design degree background
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Jewellery & Accessories industry
* Mac literate
* Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (essential) & Photoshop
* Beginner to intermediate 3D CAD software skills
* Beginner hand-making skills
* Ability to create comprehensive & inspiring trends, adapting to season and customer appropriate product
* Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment & meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills
* Well organized and meticulous attention to detail
* Team player
* Creative with an enthusiasm for jewellery & accessories
* Flexibility to travel internationally (post COVID-19)
