We are delighted to be assisting our long term and award winning client as they seek to grow their busy and friendly teams further with the addition of an Artworker within their Burgess Hill office. The role is 90% technical and 10% using your creative skills.

The role:
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of designs from template to conversion into digital format. Under guidance of the Lead Designer, in this 90% technical / 10% creative role you will maintain and update the company library stock with drafting/cutting data and take ownership of all stages of designs.
As a key part of the production process, you will work closely with sales and production team to ensure drawings are produced on-time, to client specifications and within legislative guidelines as well as company led design and branding standards. You will strive to achieve the highest levels of quality of design and data at all stages. Accuracy, responsiveness and continuity of all standards are crucial to this highly technical role.
Person spec:
Organised and flexible in approach to managing and delivering varying workload
Responsible and reliable with good attention to detail
Self-starter and able to take own initiative to solving problems
Experience / competencies required:
Previous application or general sign and graphic experience would be beneficial
Good level of computer skills in CAD, sign making and illustration software (CorelDraw!, SignLab, Illustrator)
Duties / responsibilities:
Timely delivery of accurate and complete designs
The consistent and accurate delivery of the company brand across all drawing layouts
Accurate and complete conversion of templates into digital format
Completion of the drawing process into final kit schematics to the company standard
To ensure layout and nesting / cutting requirements are accurate, maximising yield and ready for production
Constantly look for, and implement, requested improvements to designs and nests to improve quality
Uploading / maintenance of drawing visuals to company website / shop for clients to reference
