Our client is a specialist Consultancy who advise Commercial, Governmental and NGO clients in respect to Urban and Rural Green Infrastructure. They have been active since 2009 and have a spectacular portfolio of work that includes Green and BioSolar Roofs, Living Walls, Rain Gardens and all aspects of Urban Greening. They enjoy a client base that includes many of the most influential infrastructure organisations in the country. The success of their work means that they are looking to grow their design team with the appointment of a Landscape Architect.

The Job:
Reporting to the Design Director you will have Guardianship of your projects and be responsible for all aspects of design from the initial instruction through to handover. You will;
Liaise with Clients at the initial instruction, taking detailed briefs, determining the extent of the required works and discussing budgets and limitations.
Conduct preliminary site studies including environmental impact
Meet with stakeholders and research local opinion
Using design software to efficiently create innovative designs
Efficiently producing innovative designs that push boundaries.
Manage the project design, presenting concepts and negotiating amendments to establish the final design together with construction details and specifications.
You will maintain a presence on site at key points throughout the construction phase liaising with other professionals on the project, through to the handover to a delighted Client.
The Person:
We are looking for an experienced and Degree qualified Landscape Architect, probably a Chartered member of The Landscape Institute with more than 3 years PQE. You will ideally have:
Experience of Green Infrastructure projects including Urban and Rural schemes
An ability to conduct preliminary studies including topography, soil, ecology, buildings, roads, services, and heritage
Excellent design skills capable of innovative designs that challenge preconceptions.
Accurately prepare and present detailed plans and working drawings of the design, including construction details and specifications for the project using computer-aided design (CAD) packages
Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
A good Horticultural knowledge of plants and planting.
As part of your duties, you may need to make yourself available for foreign travel. As such you must be in the possession of a valid passport.
