Salary : £15.00 – £16.00/hour £15.50 per hour

Shipping Administrator needed on a 3 month (to start with) temporary basis. This role is a hybrid role with an office in London Victoria and is paying £15.50 per hour.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to join our Art Transport team. Art Transport is an integral part of the UK Operations function and supports both internal and external clients through facilitating the movement of pre and post-sale items. The VAT Controller embodies exceptional client service and will be required to assist with compliance of international shipping related procedures.  
  
As a client facilitation measure, we allow clients to utilize direct exports i.e. to pay VAT free when we control the export out sold items outside of the UK via an authorized shippers. This means that we are reliant upon the shippers to:

Carry out the export correctly & within the specified time frames and
Return proof of correct export in a timely fashion to us. If the shippers fail in their obligation to facilitate compliance then appropriate safe guarding measures need to be taken.
  
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Compile and issue export documents chase list to shippers
Process and analyse export documents received
Effectively monitor the expiry of Temporary Admission and proactively follow up with all VAT approved shippers for amendments and additional info / documentation where required
Liaise with shippers, business managers and other stakeholders to actively manage and resolve emerging issues
Periodically review process and report to managers
Review and amend processes across Departments and Divisions as required
Support the VAT Team when required and flag any problems to management in order to mitigate risk.
Ensure Supervisor/Manager is aware of any escalated issues raised by internal or external clients
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager THE CANDIDATE
  
In order to manage this process the VAT Controller should have the abilities to:

Manage and critically analyse large volume of data
Data entry experience
Experience of work with multiple enterprise systems or relevant industry experience
Willing to learn and ability to quickly acquire knowledge
Intermediate MS Excel skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to reflect the image and standards of the company in all situations
High degree of organization with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up promptly
Positive, dynamic attitude and an ability to lead by example
Ability to work well as a team and communicate confidently with colleagues
Logical thinker, attention to detail, and excellent personal organisation with the ability to seek continuous improvement
