Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £30000 – £42000/annum

If you are an experienced design professional, somebody who enjoys shaping and developing visual identities, understands the importance of brand, and can lead a team to produce best in class collateral to deliver on a range of goals – you belong at Bromford.

The most rewarding part of your role is knowing that through your projects and work, you’ll play a vital role in helping us provide safe, secure and warm housing to over 100,000 people. It’s much more than putting a roof over someone’s head. It’s about building trust, building relationships and enabling all kinds of people to achieve more, chase their ambitions and build a brighter future for themselves. For us, producing effective content that helps customers, colleagues and partners achieve that is key, as is ensuring our purpose shows through in everything we produce.

We want you to lead a team to produce on-brand and skilfully crafted design collateral that excites a range of audiences; whether it be a digital brochure to sell homes, campaign material to support our customers, or a report to engage key investors and stakeholders. You’ll work across a range of media, whether that be digital or print, and you’ll be the key custodian of our visual brand, taking colleagues on a journey beyond simply using #EF8200.

To be successful, you have experience or are ready to step into a studio manager role, leading two creatives as the powerhouse behind internal and external marketing activity and supporting the broader team to execute stunning campaigns that get remarkable results. You will be used to encouraging ideas and challenging others whilst managing the demands on that team to ensure they can provide the absolute best service on budget, to deadlines and with creative flair.

Strong project management skills are key, as well as being able to take (and challenge) effective briefs, and build lasting relationships with leaders around the organisation. You’ll also hold relationships with our design agency, photographer, and our print partners.

As well as leading the team and managing the design studio resources, you’ll also be getting hands-on yourself producing impactful designs and adding your creative spark to the pot to help deliver our campaigns.

As well as owning our visual brand, you’re also going to be a champion of accessible and inclusive design, to make sure the work your team does is of benefit to everyone. You’ll also know how digital is changing the world of design, and will often work alongside our digital team, including UX designer, to shape the digital journeys of customers and colleagues. Your team may also be called upon to help produce motion graphics and support our digital content producer.

As our senior creative, you’ll bring:

A minimum of five years working in design, ideally with experience leading a team or managing a studio
Proficient in the use of software within Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience managing your own and other designer's studio time and resourcing, ideally using project management software such as Asana, Trello etc.
Experience leading a team, coaching them to delivery excellent quality within brief, and on-time.
Creative flair and familiar with design principles across all media including print, digital and motion graphics.
An understanding of accessibility (WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 AA) through design
Strong attention to detail
Ability to build and support relationships to ensure the best outcomes and speedy issue resolution
Strong project management and organisational skills
An agile working approach, at ease with rapidly changing deadlines, workload and goals
A bonus if you’ve worked with digital teams to design UI for customer journeys online
Commitment to our DNA and be a great ambassador for Bromford.

Consideration to be given to anyone with experience working in roles such as lead creative, design studio manager, graphic designer, visual design lead and/or visual design manager.
